Share to :

The Jelantah Berkah program is a cornerstone of Amartha’s ESG initiatives, focusing on sustainable waste management and renewable energy. In 2024, the program collected 742 liters of used cooking oil from borrowers, showcasing their active participation in environmental preservation.

The collected oil was processed into bioavtur (bio-aviation fuel) through a partnership with Greenia, a leading organization in renewable energy solutions.

This initiative achieves several impactful goals:

  1. Waste Repurposing: By recycling used cooking oil, the program reduces environmental pollution and promotes responsible waste management.
  2. Renewable Energy Support: Transforming cooking oil into bioavtur contributes to the development of cleaner, sustainable energy for the aviation industry.
  3. Empowering Borrowers: Borrowers play a critical role in this initiative, fostering a sense of community involvement in sustainability efforts.

Through Jelantah Berkah, Amartha not only reduces its environmental footprint but also empowers communities to take part in creating a greener, more sustainable future. This partnership with Greenia reflects Amartha’s commitment to innovation and collaboration in addressing global environmental challenges.
